Early Start Time as ALL Teams will be expected to play the earliest game time.

Northwest Park has 5 diamonds
with concessions, plenty of parking, basketball and tennis courts, playground
for kids and within driving distance of various restaurants/fast food eateries,
hotels and shopping areas. We will have field maintenance crew onsite for
tourney. An alternate park with 2 diamonds is Darrough Chapel, which is closer
to hotels, restaurants and shopping areas on US 31.

ENTRY & DEADLINE: Entry Form, Signed copy
of the Official NSA ONLINE Rosters - Complete and Correct, and Entry Fees
MUST be received by your respective State Director no later
than
Friday, August 20, 2010. Late
entries will NOT be accepted.
Entry Fee is $275.00 with payment made by Money Order, Cashiers Check, or
Cash ONLY.
Personal & Sponsor or Company checks will NOT be accepted.
Entry fees MUST go through your State Director–NO EXCEPTIONS!
Under NO circumstances will a team be permitted to submit a
roster at the tournament site.
NOTE:
Failure for the team to
submit the Entry Form, Ensure their State Director has a SIGNED COPY of the
Official NSA ONLINE Roster with ALL information Complete and Correct, and Entry
Fee by the deadline listed
above will result in the team losing the berth and all travel monies won.

ALL TEAMS MUST
BE properly registered ONLINE with NSA and
their ROSTER MUST be ONLINE with
ALL INFORMATION COMPLETE and CORRECT by the ENTRY DEADLINE or
the team will not be allowed to participate.
State Directors MUST have a SIGNED copy of your team roster on
file. Please verify with them if they need a copy.
FORMAT: Three game format
MANAGERS MEETING: Coaches meeting will be Friday night at
host hotel at 7pm, signs will be posted.
All players must have Government Issue Photo ID on hand AT ALL TIMES.
ROSTER CHECK IN: 1 hour prior to first game at the field or
Friday night at host hotel party. 2.00 band replacement fee. Additional roster
checks may be conducted at any time during the tournament.
Bring Entire Team, Roster Check with Driver's License
or Government Issue Picture ID will be done at this time.
YOUR STATE DIRECTOR
must submit/approve Rosters to be used at the tournament site.
Roster checks will be conducted prior to team's first game.
Each player will be required to have GOVERNMENT ISSUE PICTURE ID with them at
all times.
Names will NOT be added to any roster at the
tournament site.
Wrist bands will be secured on each legal player and must
be worn during entire tournament.
If player loses band then they must be rechecked with their Drivers License -
Government Issue photo ID.
No Driver's License or Government Issue photo ID, no band - no play.
Additional roster checks may be conducted at any time during the tournament.
FIRST GAME TIME/TOURNAMENT DRAW: Game times will be posted on www.KentuckyNSA.com on Friday, September 10, 2010 after LIVE DRAW at the Coaches meeting.
GAMES:
It is required that all teams be AT THE FIELD, READY TO PLAY - 1/2
Hour PRIOR TO
SCHEDULED GAME TIME. GAMES MAY BEGIN UP TO 30 MINUTES EARLY IF FIELD IS
OPEN.
SOFTBALL: NSA Approved softballs.
BATS:
Only NSA approved bats will be allowed. Check the National Website for a
complete
and up to date listing of approved equipment. www.playnsa.com

Please check bats by Manufacturer - Model NUMBER and NAME, if a bat is
not posted on
the approved list, it will NOT be allowed. ** Note:
It is the coaches/players' responsibility
to check their bat(s) to the list prior to bringing them into play.
You may contact the manufacturer to inquire on the status of an unlisted bat.
PROTEST: There will be a $75.00 CASH ONLY protest fee. If protest is allowed, the fee will be refunded.
CONDITIONS:
The tournament
committee reserves the right to rule on matters as they may occur,
including any deemed necessary to complete the tournament. This includes
changing the tournament
format, due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, etc.). The committee assumes
that all players are
competing at their own risk and will not be liable for accidents or injuries.

constitutes agreement of these conditions.
UNIFORMS: To be in strict accordance with NSA team dress code. NO METAL OR METAL TIPPED CLEATS!
PLAYING RULES: NSA rules will govern all play in strict accordance
with the NSA Rule Book.

NOTICE:
It is the responsibility of the Coach/Manager and/or Sponsor for knowing the NSA
rules and bylaws.
Ignorance of an NSA rule or bylaw does not negate the penalty.
Entry in to any NSA tournament constitutes acknowledgement and agreement to

including the refund policy. There are NO entry refunds after the entry
deadline.

Managers are
responsible for knowing the rules and keeping their players &
spectators under control. Abusive language/behavior will not be tolerated.
Spectators, Players and/or teams may be removed from the tournament without
refund.

The following hotel is potentially going to be our HOST HOTEL. We are looking to have all Friday night activities at the selected Host Hotel – Coaches Meeting/Tourney Draw and Social Party.

§ Hotel Reservations – Call hotel and ask for rooms under “NSA Softball” to get the rate. Rooms are under this block until August 27.
What to Do in Kokomo?
Of course, you should be busy playing softball and hanging out at the park. In case you need to eat or want to do something else, we have various restaurants including some local favorites, newly renovated movie theatre, plenty of golf courses, plenty of shopping areas, and so on.
What’s around Northwest Park to EAT?
Local favorites include B&K (coney dogs), famous Louie’s (coney dogs), Martino’s Villa (Italian food with a bar), Omeletti’s (breakfast/lunch), Harvey Hinklemeyers, Mike’s Pizza, Pizza King, Corner Pub (best tenderloins), etc. And there are plenty of fast food restaurants like Arby’s, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, Subway, etc.
What’s around hotels (US 31)?
Kokomo is known as Stop Light City … so on US31 North you can find just about any type of restaurant, fast food or sit down, for your eating preferences. Panera Bread, CiCi’s, Texas Road House, Outback, Applebee’s, Cracker Barrel, IHOP, Golden Corral, Culver’s, and so on.
Also, there are two malls plus other shopping right off of US31. Markland Mall and Kokomo Mall including places like Kohls, TJ Maxx, Wal Mart, Meijer, Target, Old Navy, Finish Line, etc.
Friday Night
We will have the Friday night activities at the HOST HOTEL. We will have facilities to host Coaches Meeting/Draw and Pre-Tourney Party. We will have a DJ (already confirmed), food/drinks, etc.
Park Amenities
§ Concessions – We have a small concession area but we will bring in a trailer for additional concessions that includes grilled food, etc. This is used for large events such as this tourney.
§ Sign-In – There is plenty of space for sign-in area at main shelter area by the Concessions and next to the basketball court. This is a covered shelter to set-up sign in, bracket and clothing, etc.
§ Clothing – NSA will provide their usual choice of NSA clothing and attire onsite.
§ Plenty of Shade – Northwest Park is quite large with 5 diamonds and plenty of open and shaded areas for teams to gather in between games.
§ Kid Activities – There is lots of space for players/families to spread out with picnic areas, basketball and tennis courts, and a nice playground for the kids. We may offer onsite babysitting. Let us know if you have this need.
§ Sports Photography – We are working on a plan to have a photographer and videographer attend the event. This could include taking team photos and possibly developing a keepsake DVD summary of the weekend. If you have an interest, let us know.
